SIGN-UP DEADLINE APRIL 3

The Medal Series Championship is individual stroke play over a number of designated events. Sign-up and a $20 entry fee check are required before deadline.  Players are divided into flights per white and green tees.  Points are awarded for the relative placing of their Gross and Net scores within their flight each time they play. 

 

Sign Up:

 

Open to all SCPMGA members.  The signup sheet and check envelope is located in the SCPMGA sign-up notebook.  Sign up under appropriate tee and deposit a $20 check payable to "SCPMGA" with memo note "Medal Series".

Format:

 

The Medal Series competition is a yearlong event that starts April 3rd and concludes November 6th.  There are eight (8) events scheduled ( 4/3, 5/8, 6/5, 7/3, 8/7, 9/4, 10/2, 11/6) concurrently with SCPMGA Thursday play.  Players are divided by White and Green tees and flights based on their March 30, handicap. Competition is individual stroke play within your flight.  For each event, points are awarded for the relative placing of your Gross and Net scores (ex. 10 points - 1st, 9 points - 2nd,..., 1 point - 10th place each time you play).  Competitor's total is determined by his total top five awarded points.

White and Green (Players must play tees selected at beginning of year)

Time:

Normal SCPMGA Thursday Play Time

Handicaps:

Current handicap of play date.

Pairings:

Pairings by pros shop per handicaps.

Flights:

 

Divided by White and Green Tees.  Number of flights determined by participation.  Goal of 12-15 players per flight.  Players remain in original flight for entire year.

Posting:

Record each event as tournament round using Equitable Stroke Control (ESC)

Prizes:

Prize money awarded to first three Gross and Net winners of each flight.  You can only win one prize.  Amount determined by number of players in flight.
